2048. Denis GAUDET was born in 1625 in France. He died on 11 Oct 1709 in Port Royal, Annapolis, Acadie. He was buried on 11 Oct 1709 in Port Royal, Annapolis, Acadie. He married Anne Martine GAUTHIER in 1644 in France. [Parents] <pafg13.htm>

Second generation. Denis Gaudet, born in France in 1615, came to Acadia with his father in 1632 and, about 1638, accompanied him to Port Royal; here, about
1645, he married Martine Gauthier. He settled on the south shore of the river Port Royal some miles up-river from the Fort, but left his habitation in 1655, giving it to
one of his sons-in-law, to carve out an estate for himself on both sides of the river Port Royal some thirty miles up-river from the Fort. In 1922 I visited the site
which bears the name Village-des-Gaudet. It is a charming locale. It was there that he died the 21st of
November, 1709, leaving several children, among others the following:

Dennis married Matine Gauthier in 1644 in France. (Matine Gauthier died in 1685 in St. Joseph aux Canards River.)
