From Acadian Footprints Gerald Doucet p. 326: " Simon, son of Paul-Marie Doucet and Felicite Michel. Simon was born in Prince Edward Island. He was my first paternal Doucet ancestor to settle permanently in Cape Briton, originally in the Margrees, and from there he moved to Grand Etang. Unlike his parents he remained there until his death. My fater's second given name, Simon, is probably inherited from him, his great, great, great grandfather."
Simon married Scalastique Cormier, daughter of Francois Cormier and Anne Hashe (Gallant).
