"Jean Doucet Jr., the son of Jean Doucet Sr. and Marie Robichaud is believed by some to have been deported from Beaubassin shortly after the fall of Fort Beausejour, quickly thereafter renamed Fort Cumberland. But there is no evidence to support this or that any Acadians were in fact deported from Beaubassin to Southampton, England."
