Martin Aucoin Jr,. Until 1999, it was believed he was the son of Martin Aucoin, Sr. and Marie Sallé, who were married in 1632 at LaRochelle, France. New research has shown Martin Aucoin, Jr., could not have been their son. Unfortunately, this new research has not progressed to the point of revealing whom his parents actually were. As to Martin Aucoin Jr., we do know he came to l'Acadie between 1651 and 1672. By 1684 he was at Beaubassin, then in 1704 at Riviere aux Canards, Grand Pré. He died May 11, 1711.

Martin married Marie Gaudet.
